My most read articles

The year is coming to an end and I thought of compiling a list of my top visited posts. Some make sense, others not so much. Find out for yourself:

1. Finding the courage

It’s my very first article about the brain tumour and even after all these years, I don’t think it’s embarrassing … so SUCCESS!

2. Mental Health

I opened up about the effects of the diagnosis and how sometimes the mental wellbeing is more important than a physical health.

3. Other relaxation and anxiety management techniques

I’ve written about various methods (yoga, meditation, breathing exercise, reading,…) which help me in achieving the equilibrium and calm state of mind.

4. My year of smoking weed and having Botox

The title is a bit clickbait-y nevertheless, people do search for these particular topics and it still remains one of the most read articles on here.

5. Faith

The issue of “faith” is a big one among the oncological group. I believe, it’s because it’s linked to mortality, fate, love etc., questions related to religious matters.

6. Update

People are naturally curious and want to know personal stories. Plus, I was quiet for two years and loads have happened so I’m not at all surprised by the reaction.

7. Supplements

When people ask when I was diagnosed and see that I’m (still) alive, they are often shocked or think it is a miracle. Although, there are some “secrets” I’m not ready to share, the rest is pretty straight forward. Hence this article.

8. Things you shouldn’t say to a brain tumour patient

This has got a lot of attention and rightly so. There should be a better communication and not just amongst those with a brain tumour.

9. How to cope with grief?

This is an interview I did with my lovely friend, whose brother passed away. I’m really grateful that Emily agreed to it and glad I could write such an essential piece.

10. Why am I doing this? / Proč?

A number of young people around me died due to this disease. It’s not easy to make brain tumours “sexy”. But among the never ending talk about COVID and politics, we ought to focus on other important topics.

11. Why is having an abortion one of the best decisions I’ve made?

Put the “a” word in your title and you’ll definitely get a reaction. Not the reason why I published it but the issue has been bothering me for some time and it’s linked to the overall message I’m trying to portray.
