Founding a brain tumour organisation

I have been extremely lucky. Since opening up about the tumour, I worked with others affected by the disease and was able to become part of a community. In the UK, there are many charities helping the cause and bringing people together.

Since returning to the Czech Republic, I’ve been missing such a group. We decided, with my doctor friend, to set up an organisation that would connect persons with brain tumours, their families and friends. Our aim is to share information and create community.

It’s called BrainCzech and so far we have a Facebook page. The reason for writing this (in English) is, frankly, to share the update with you. Writing this blog has been truly therapeutic. It’s consistently helping and allowing me to form new connections. Hence, sharing the news is purely natural. Let’s see how it goes. In the meantime, if you have any tips/comments/ideas, send them my way. I’m here.
