I was invited to talk at an Oncology Conference last week. The event took place in Prague. It was a perfect opportunity to present a patient organisation called BrainCzech, that I co-funded with my good friend H.

H. is a doctor, who lost his sister to a brain tumour. This experience, among others, inspired him to study medicine.

The presentation was short and poignant and I received many positive comments. More importantly, I introduced the project to the wider public, made some important contacts and diverted attention to the topic, which is not discussed enough in oncology worldwide.

I was also invited to a future conference in Vienna, which is happening later this year. I’m very grateful for the opportunity I had to speak and I’m looking forward to spreading our work further and meeting new fascinating people.
