As I mentioned many times, writing has been a form of therapy and a way to employ my creativity. It brings joy and motivates me to keep educating myself and produce compelling, thought-provoking content.
So I have been wondering, can writing still be a creative action done by humans?
I asked chatGPT and received this answer:
Yes, writing can still be a creative action done by humans. Writing is a form of expression that allows people to communicate their thoughts, ideas, and emotions through the written word. It is a medium for storytelling, exploration, and self-reflection.
While technology has certainly changed the way we write, from word processors to autocorrect, the act of writing itself is still a creative process. Writing allows us to create new worlds, characters, and ideas, and to bring them to life on the page. It allows us to experiment with different forms, styles, and genres, and to express ourselves in unique and personal ways.
Furthermore, writing can be a way to push boundaries and challenge conventions. It can be used to explore difficult or controversial topics, to question social norms, and to inspire change. Writing can be a tool for empowerment, both for the writer and for the reader.
So, while technology may have changed the way we write, it has not diminished the creativity that can be expressed through the written word. Writing is still a powerful and meaningful way for humans to connect, express themselves, and create something new.

Well, that’s reassuring. Nevertheless, the fact it was written by an artificial inteligence is a bit disturbing, to say the least. With content being so easily generated, will people even appreciate original material? And how do we distinguish what is authentically human and what has been generated? I cannot answer these questions. It gives me some concern and makes my efforts feel a bit pointless.
It will be interesting to observe how this changes communication. There are many implications regarding education, originality in academia and artistry. I reckon, like with any other big inventions, there will be many benefits and plenty of drawbacks.
Time will tell.
We are screwed.
I blogged about this too.
